Tomato Bisque Soup


    Ingredients

  • 3-4 tomatoes
  • 1 large red pepper
  • Handful of pre-shredded onions
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of nama shoyu
  • 8-10 sprigs of thyme
    Approximate serving size

  • 2-3 bowls
    Machine use

  • Dehydrator and Vita-Mix or Food Processor
    Directions

  • Cut tomatoes in half.
  • Scoop out insides and place in Vita-Mix or food processor.
  • Blend down to a puree.
  • Pout into bowl and set on side.
  • Put the hollowed out tomato into a large bowl.
  • Cut pepper into chunks and put into bowl with tomatoes.
  • Add onions.
  • Pour olive oil and nama shoyu over the veggies and mix with thyme leaves (leave some on side for garnish).
  • Spread the veggie mix onto a teflex lined dehydrator tray.
  • Put tray and bowl of tomato insides in dehydrator for 4-6 hours.
  • Add everything back to the Vita-Mix or food processor and blend down to desired consistency.
  • Pour into bowl and top with remaining thyme leaves.
