Raw food author and chef Jennifer Cornbleet shows you to make delicious gluten-free raw pasta out of zucchini, which is topped with raw marinara sauce. From her DVD, Raw Food Made Easy.

Readily available and extremely affordable, zucchini can be transformed into tender vegetable ‘pasta’ with nothing more than a few simple knife skills. In this video, Jennifer Cornbleet demonstrates how to create pasta ribbons that are as supple and delicious as wheat pasta, but with none of the processed flour or gluten.

Jennifer demonstrates two techniques for making zucchini pasta that literally take just a few seconds. One method involves using an every day vegetable peeler to create long, thin fettuccine-like ribbons. The other method uses a hand-cranked spiral slicer to turn the zucchini into delicate strips like angel hair pasta.

Like pasta made with wheat, zucchini pasta has a mild flavor and a slightly al dente texture. When it is dressed up with Jennifer’s hearty raw Marinara Sauce, it is as comforting and delicious as traditional pasta, but without the high carb content.

Jennifer’s sauce is high in flavor and low in carbs, too. You’ll learn how to combine chopped tomatoes, sweet red bell pepper (to add sweetness and color), and sun-dried tomatoes in a food processor to create a richly flavored sauce that tastes like it was simmered on the stove all day.

Easy Homemade Raw Dog Food Recipe

The diet is based on the carnivorous natural diet of our dogs’ ancestors. Full recipe here:

Because our dogs come from the same family as wolves, coyotes, foxes and other wild dogs, some people think a raw, natural diet is best for them. An easy raw dog food recipe, like this one, may be right for your Fido.

“For this easy raw dog food recipe, first you’ll need to put the carrot, apple and baby spinach into a food processor. As you’ll see in my video guide above, I don’t have a food processor, so I used my blender instead. Just be sure to add a small amount of water if you’re using a blender, as it won’t easily chop the ingredients without it.”

makes 10-12 tarts


For the dough:
2 c oat flour
2 c shredded coconut, blended into flour
1/4 c psyllium husk (soaked in 1 C water for 15 minutes)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 c coconut oil, melted
1/2 c coconut nectar
2 tsp vanilla extract

For the filling:
1 c raspberries
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 c dates, pitted and chopped
pinch sea salt
2 Tbsp psyllium husk (soaked in 1/4 c water for 15 minutes)


Make the dough:
Add oat flour, coconut flour, and salt, give it a whisk, then add gelatinized psyllium husk (it just needs to have soaked in water for about 15 mins) coconut oil, coconut nectar, and vanilla. Mix it all up until you have a thick dough.
Separate the dough into two halves to work with it. Take each half and roll it out between two pieces of wax paper. The dough should be somewhere between 1/8 – 1/4 of an inch thick — basically as thin as you can get it without it falling apart while you’re working with it.

To make the filling:
Mix all filling ingredients in blender or food processor, and set aside.

Cut the dough into 10-12 rectangles – they should be about 3×5.
Spread 1-2 tablespoons of raspberry filling on half of your rectangles, then place the corresponding dough (the “bro next door” on top)
Press edges down with a fork to seal.
Dehydrate for 6-7 hours until slightly crispy.

**If you’re using an oven – put them in at the lowest temperature possible (usually around 200F for most ovens) and check on it every 15 mins or so. Unfortunately I’ve found that I can’t give exact times for ovens because everyone’s is so different and raw stuff is a little more delicate!

Raw Diet For Cats Recipe

Hello all!

I’ve had a lot of people ask how I prepare my two bengals, Cabela and Jade, Raw diet. I have finally gotten around to making a video.

Here are the ingredients to the raw diet

You will need a grinder

10 lbs Bone In Skin On Chicken thighs
1lb of chicken hearts and gizzards (combined)
10-13 ounces of chicken livers
daily supplements for cats
one container (5 ounces) of plain Greek yogurt
One cup of water

Cut the chicken thighs into the appropriate size for your grinder

Add the water to the vitamins for easy mixing

Grind all the chicken, hearts and gizzards, and liver

Once all ground, add the vitamins and yogurt, mix well

Separate the finished mix into containers and proportions of your choice. I put a 1/4 cup of food into a half cup container.

Make sure to leave some food in the fridge for feeding. Nothing worse than having to defrost food while your kitty screams at you.

How to Make Raw Vegan Cheese – Raw. Vegan. Not Gross.

Raw Vegan Cheese


2 C cashews, soaked overnight
6 sun-dried tomatoes
1/4 C nutritional yeast
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp salt
2 cloves garlic
1/2 C olive oil
Juice of 2 lemons
Zest of 1 lemon


Drain soaked cashews thoroughly and add to blender or food processor along with all the other ingredients. Blend until smooth, stopping to smoosh down the sides as needed.
Get a large bowl, put a colander or strainer inside, and then lay down two layers of cheesecloth (this is “the situation” I refer to in the video.)
Use a spatula to transfer the cheese mixture into the cheesecloth, then grab the excess fabric and twist it to form the cheese into a tight little package, securing with a rubber band.
Place in refrigerator for 8-12 hours to allow the excess moisture to drip into the bowl underneath.
Remove from cheesecloth and plop it down on to a cutting board or serving platter. Form it into a ball with your hands.
Keep it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve — it’ll keep its form for a couple hours outside of the fridge.
If you’d like a rind, dehydrate overnight or bake 350F for 1 hour until the cheese slightly golden and cracked on the surface.
