When I began my journey to becoming raw vegan, I was most concerned about a life without chocolate. I LOVE chocolate. The more I studied, I learned more about how chocolate was made and where it comes from, the cacao bean. I use raw cacao powder in smoothies all the time and soon after I then discovered cacao butter. Since cacao butter has a high melting point it is a great base for chocolate and is actually what gives chocolate its “melt in your mouth” texture. Using these 2 base ingredients in raw vegan chocolate and a few additional ingredients, honey and sat, make the perfect sweet treat for the chocolate loving raw vegan!
